32nd Annual Congress of European Prosthodontic Association

Dear Collegaues, invited speakers, exhibitors and accompanying persons

On behalf of the European Prosthodontic Association, the Hungarian Dental Association and the Dental School of Medical Faculty, University of Pécs it is my pleasure to welcome you in Pécs to this 2008 meeting.
The themes of this conference are "Decision Making in Prosthodontic Treatment Planning" and "Oral Health Related Quality of Life". Selected international keynote speakers will present the related main topics during the general sessions. In addition, free communications in parallel sessions and poster sessions have been included to cover topics such as fixed and removable conventional or implant prosthodontics and special care dentistry. I am convinced that you will find the scientific programme most stimulating and that you will appreciate the high level of the presentations. The EPA Pécs 2008 meeting will allow researchers and clinicians to get state-of-the-art information on all the different aspects using osseointegrated implants or more traditional treatment protocols in dentistry. My wish is that this conference may encourage you to address these problems and initiate debate upon them in your own home countries.
At the time this address is being written, about three weeks before the congress opens, we have registered participants from some twenty five different countries, which itself is a stimulating and promising omen for a succesful meeting. Furthermore, I would like to express our gratitude the sponsors and exhibitors for their generous financial support.
Pécs is generally at its very best in the early autumn, when not only the climate but also social and cultural activities are "high pressure areas" preparing events of European Cultural Capital in 2010. We have done our best to make your stay a memorable one for you yourself and also your accompanying family members. I am looking forward to welcoming you once again in Pécs. We are sure that you enrich your professional life and enjoy the charm of our city and its beautiful surroundings.
